When
describing STEVE WARREN's career, one must use the term: "VARIED."
He
has been singing, literally, as long as he has been talking!
At
the ripe old age of 3 years old, he sang to 10,000 people in a
large municipal auditorium in his hometown of Houston Texas.
STEVE
WARREN, "The Voice," has sung and performed
with the greats in both gospel and secular music.
In
his hometown of Houston Texas, Steve became friends and performed
with country music great Larry Gatlin. Their friendship
continues to this day. Check out the kind words about Steve
in Larry's handwritten
letter.
Moving
to Nashville in 1982, he began singing with the legends of gospel
music, Jake Hess, Hovie Lister, J.D.Sumner & James Blackwood
in the group "The Masters 5." On the majority
of the 8 albums he performed on and produced for the Masters,
his "one man band" is heard, as he played all the instruments
on those recordings.
When
all of the Masters went their separate ways, J.D. Sumner &
Steve reformed "The Stamps Quartet," the group
that sang back-up for the late Elvis Presley. He then traveled
world-wide with The Stamps, doing gospel concerts as well as "Elvis
Tribute" shows, for which he was the featured vocalist.

In
December of 1994, he then joined "The Wayne Newton Show,"
as pianist, leader of Newton's back-up vocal group, and featured
soloist on all of his shows. Steve also appeared in the
Warner Brothers motion picture "Vegas Vacation" in 1996.

about Steve Warren.
In
September of 1997, Steve again joined The Blackwood Brothers,
remaining in that position until the death of Cecil Blackwood
in November of 2000. View
